Mission Statement

The ILA 1248 Union is committed to safe working conditions, reasonable work schedules, and a vision to continue improving its members’ lives and their families.   The ILA 1248 union will continue to focus on justice, equality, and helping us prosper together.   Our vision is to grow and maintain the necessary training and development in technology to support the Port of Virginia as it meets the needs of trade and commerce.  In addition, Our vision is to continue to assist the Port of Virginia and become a vital link connecting world markets to East Coast businesses and consumers.  ILA 1248 members will be strategic partners supporting and meeting the demand in the import and export industry. So on behalf of our President Mr. Chris Faulk and the Executive Board of ILA 1248, we promise to constantly inform, improve, and provide true leadership for our members and keep the community on our hearts and minds.
